More Than A Playhouse!
The Island Playhouse and Nursery is evolving into more than just a Playhouse.

Stay & Play – a welcoming space for families with children up to 4 years. It’s the perfect place to play, unwind and connect with friends.

Birthday parties – a great place to celebrate your little one’s special day with a small select group of friends and family. We decorate beforehand and clean up afterwards, plus lead the singing, dancing games and bubble time for all.
We’re most excited about adding childcare services at the Island Playhouse. We are becoming the Island Playhouse and Nursery from Early 2026. Offering term-time only daycare (38 weeks) from 9am to 3pm on Mondays to Fridays. Great for parents who work from home, and a full nursery day doesn’t suit them. Or for parents who have older children at school and little ones can fit into the same routing.
If you are eligible for 15 or 30 hour funding, you can access genuinely completely free high-quality Ofsted-registered daycare. No top-ups, no meal charges and no consumables charges.
Children learn most effectively when parents enter their world of play and imagination.
